How do I make a vCard QR code?
Choose the contact type, fill in your name and the details you want to share, and the code appears at once. Download it as PNG or SVG. Scanning it lets the person save you as a contact.
Put your contact details on a card that saves itself.
Your text never leaves this device.
Fill in your name, phone, email, company, job title, website and address, and the generator creates a vCard QR code. Scanning it offers to save you as a new contact on the phone, with no typing. The details are encoded in the code itself, so it never expires and nothing is uploaded.

A vCard is the standard file format for a contact card, with the extension .vcf. Phones and address books read it to create a new contact. This tool writes the contact into the QR code in vCard format.
You can include first name, last name, phone, email, company, job title, website and address. Only fill in what you want to share: every extra field makes the code denser and harder to scan.
No. The camera app on current iPhones and Android phones recognises contact codes and offers to add the contact. Older phones may need a scanner app.
No. This generator supports one phone number, one email address and no photo. A photo would make the code far too large to scan reliably.
The printed code keeps the old details, because it is static and cannot be edited. Generate a new code and reprint the cards, and avoid printing huge batches of cards if your details change often.
It depends. A vCard saves your details offline in one tap, while a link always shows the current page. Use a vCard for business cards and a link when you need to update the content later.
At events, trade fairs and meetings, people rarely type a phone number into their contacts, and a business card often ends up in a drawer. A vCard code turns the card into a one-tap save: the person scans, taps add, and your name, number and email are already in their phone.
It also works well on a conference badge, a shop door, a poster, a menu or inside an email signature, where a person cannot easily copy a number by hand.
Include a name, one way to reach you and, if it helps, your company and website. Leave out anything you would not be comfortable sharing with a stranger, such as a home address. The code is not protected: anybody who scans it can read every field.
Keep the entries short. Writing a long street address, a long job title and a full website path makes the pattern dense. A dense code needs a bigger print size, so if your card is small, drop the address and keep the website to the main domain.
Print the code at least 2.5 cm wide on a business card, on a matte surface, with a light margin around it. Glossy cards can reflect light and make scanning harder. Test the printed result with an iPhone and an Android phone, and check that the saved contact shows the right name and number.
If you want to add your logo, keep it small; the highest error correction level is used automatically, which makes the pattern denser. The page QR code with logo covers the trade-offs.
A contact code gives your details, but you may also want people to reach you in a particular way. Add a WhatsApp QR code for direct chat, or an email QR code that opens a new message with a subject already written. For everything else, such as a portfolio link or a booking page, use the main QR code generator.

To create a contact code from your assistant, connect the QR MCP server and ask for the generate_qr tool with the vCard type, for example “make a vCard QR code for Ayşe Demir, Designer at Atölye, ayse@example.com”. It returns a real PNG and SVG.
